Characterized by the Philadelphia Inquirer as a “poet with an expressive edge to his playing that charms, questions, and coaxes,” American pianist DANIEL HSU is increasingly recognized for his virtuosity and bold musicianship. He captured the bronze medal and prizes for best performance of both the commissioned work and chamber music at the 2017 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, and is also a 2016 Gilmore Young Artist, first prize winner of the 2015 CAG Victor Elmaleh Competition, and bronze medalist of the 2015 Hamamatsu International Piano Competition.

Covid-19 Safety Protocols:

All guests will be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated and complete a health screening questionnaire prior to coming to campus.
Unvaccinated guests must show proof of a negative COVID test from a CLIA-certified lab within 72-hours of the event or performance. Unvaccinated guests without proof of a negative test can take a test onsite. fHome administered tests results will not be accepted. A link to the health screening questionnaire will be provided to all ticket buyers at the time of purchase.

Please note:
If you plan to take a test onsite, it can take up to 45 minutes to receive test results, so please plan your time accordingly.

Guests must wear a mask at all times while in the building (regardless of vaccination status) and socially distanced seating of guests is required.

Any guests that are unable or unwilling to comply with these Safety Guidelines will be asked to leave the performance venue.

Limited wheelchair seating is available in designated areas. A sound amplification system is available for the hearing impaired and with two weeks’ notice, sign language interpreters may be arranged for most events. Contact the Ticket Office for more information.

Child Policy:
The Center for the Arts encourages families to enjoy performances together; however, in consideration of other ticket holders, unless specified, most performances are not suitable for infants and toddlers. All persons, regardless of age, must have a ticket. If you have any questions regarding this policy or the age appropriateness of a performance for your child, please email . Please note: Children under 5 years of age will not be admitted to any El Camino College Theatre Department play or musical.

Online ticket sales end four (4) hours prior to a performance's scheduled start time.
Same day ticket sales are available at the Ticket Office at least 1 hour prior to a performance's scheduled start time.

El Camino College Students that are attending an event at a Center for the Arts venue for class credit are required to complete a Student Attendance Check-Out Form. You will receive an email with a link to complete and submit or you may scan the QR Code located in the lobby after the performance.

Please be sure to submit the completed Student Attendance Check-Out Form within 48 hours of the event you attended to receive class credit.
