Journey of a Wildlife Filmmaker | Adam Ravetch
November 4 @ 3:00 p.m | Tickets $14/$12 | Marsee Auditorium
Emmy Award Winner Adam Ravetch nature and wild-life documentary director and cinematographer, has worked for National Geographic, The Smithsonian, BBC Earth, IMAX, Universal and others; producing award-winning films about the effects of climate change and the inner workings of the arctic circle.
A trademark of Adam’s career is his single-minded purpose to explore and weave undiscovered animal behavior into personal strong narratives. He has experienced this by living alone with hungry polar bears, swimming with a 2-ton walrus with dagger-like tusks known to suck your brains out, and gliding under the ice side by side with a 400-year-old Greenland shark.
Adam shares clips from his underwater and under-ice adventures from the original Planet Earth series to his most recent film for the famous Shark Week series. Whether it is coming face to fang with the great white shark, or a polar bear, Adam is committed to inspiring people through his craft.
